Giraffe Facts

Giraffes are the tallest mammals and the tallest living land animals on Earth.

Just like human fingerprints, no two individual giraffes have the same coat pattern.

A giraffe can sleep and give birth standing up.

A baby giraffe stands up and walks in about an hour after birth.

Giraffes can run as fast as 60 km/hr.

Giraffes sleep for only 5 to 30 minutes in a 24-hour period.

Baby Giraffe falls to the ground from a height of about 2 meters at the time of birth.

A newborn giraffe can be six feet tall. (taller than most humans)
